Kelsey Briggs was abused horribly by her mother and her stepfather.. her real father was in the army.. he was a very loving parent although he could not be there with her.. Kelsey was born 2002 her stepfather and hr mother abused her she used to be a happy and energetic child until the abusing came along.. when Kelsey was 2-3 her stepfather and mother broke her collar bone then after that broke both of her legs, Kelsey had bruises ALL over her and her eye was messed up Kelsey was a very cute and happy child until she had to stay with her stepfather and mother.. one day her stepfather hit or kicked Kelsey so hard in the stomach that it had killed her.
she was only three years old at this time.

Instead he tore her world apart. She has been crucified and vilified in the media after a witch-hunt led by Kelsey's paternal grandmother Kelsey Briggs, the mother of Lance Briggs. Lance Briggs has been placed on a pedestal for his military service in which he was supposedly in Iraq when Kelsey's death occurred the truth is that he was in a rehab facility in Georgia. Everything about this case is tragic, from the death of a beautiful baby girl, the conviction of an innocent mother who's only "crime" was being naive to the praising of the family who led the media crucifixion the same paternal family who met on more than one occasion and spoke hundreds of times with Kelsey's murderer after her death, all to get Raye Dawn in Jail (in Kathie's words).
