Well when teenage girls look in a magazine and see a skinny, gorgeous model, they sometimes feel bad about themselves. It makes them feel like they are big and need to be prettier and smaller. In most cases this isn't true but based on advertising these ads get to teenagers. Some teenagers go to crash or fad diets to loose those extra pounds. So make sure that if you have a teenager in your house that they're getting the nutrients they need and are exercising 5-6 days a week. They still may feel insecure about themselves but atleast they are staying healthy.
When i see skinny models it makes me selfconscious and I'm a tom boy with ripped up legs from paintball and airsofting with my brothers, and i can see all my friends are selfconscious exept for 2.

Girls may take very strict actions to prevent their bodies of gaining weight and completely stop further up growth of their anatomy. without knowing the risk, it can lead them to eating disorder, anorexia and even death.
