You should probably have two Steel-type Pokemon(for example, Mawhile) and two Magnemite and if you have Cranidos as your partner Pokemon, that is extremely helpful.
Draw circles around the Rampardos until its third attack, when it causes around 10 boulders to rain down. When that happens, use a Steel-type Pokemon to "stop" the Rampardos. Then draw circles like crazy. When your HP gets low, use the Magnemite. If you really can't capture Rampardos and you're really close to capturing it, then use Cranidos' Poke Assist and flick rocks like there's no tomorrow!
