How do you beat crasher wake in Pokemon platinum?

Well Wake uses water Pokemon so use electric and grass types to win.

Crasher Wake's team:

Lv 33 Gyarados

Lv 34 Quagsire

Lv 37 Floatzel

A good team:

Lv 34 Luxio Thunder Fang, Spark, Charge and Leer

Lv 36 Leafeon Razor Leaf, Synthesis, Quick Attack and Magical Leaf

Lv 36 Starter Depends

Wake send out Gyarados, so put Luxio first and use Thunder Fang or Spark which should knock it down.

Then Quagsire is next, which means Electric-type attacks don't affect it unfortanutely, so when it says 'Would you like to change Pokemon ?' Click on Yes because if you click no then change, Quagsire could do something like Ice Beam. Leafeon's Razor Leaf or Magical Leaf should knock that down too.

Last but not least, it's Floatzel so keep Luxio in play as Floatzel can do Ice Fang which might beat Leafeon. Floatzel is Lv 37, which means it's Crasher Wake's strongest! 1, 2 or 3 Thunder Fangs or Sparks to defeat Floatzel which means...

... You've defeated Crasher Wake and Recived the Fen Badge and Tm 55 Brine!

Recived Fen Badge and TM 55!

The Fen Badge also makes Pokemon use Surf outside of battle!

well u if u picked chimchar at the start of the game your goin to have trouble with crasher wake because grass and electric are the only types good on him/ with a fire pokemon the the only good move is close combat make sure u have the move if u have chimchar. i have chimchar right now and i finally beat crasher wake but he was HARD it took me and hour good luck.

Try using grass- or ice-type Pokemon. Turtwig or Roserade might be a good idea. Electric types work well too.

Crasher Wake is a user of water type Pokemon. Water type Pokemon are damaged by grass and elecric type. to get to Crasher Wake, you nee to go through a maze that he has put up for you. To get through, you have to use the different kinds of buttons. The green button fills the gym half way. The blue button fills in almost completely and the yelloe button drains all the water out. You need all the buttons to get to him.
