You have to beat team Plasma at Dragonspiral tower. Then, go to the castle and walk, but not run, along the sides of the quicksand until you get to the far left. The girl there will give you a fossil. then head down and complete the maze.

If you are defeated by N or Ghetsis in the Plasma Castle you are sent back to the Pokemon Center at the Pokemon League. You can then either leave and go train, or go back to face N or Ghetsis again. All you have to do is go to relic castle and WALK across the sand pits at the outer edge go to the back wall and go down the stairs. Then defeat team plasma!!!

What do you do in the relic castle?
In Relic Castle you can obtain these fossils, the Plume fossil and the Cover fossil. The Plume fossil has Archen(Rock Flying), and the Cover fossil has Tirtouga(Rock Water). And if you want a Yamask, you can come here too because this is the only place where you can find them. Later in the game, Team Plasma is also there, and when you defeat the Elite Four, you can gain access to the bottom floor, which has a Volcarona level 70.
