How do you befriend Giratina?

For Explorers of Time and Darkness: You can go to the World Aybass (WNWY JXTK &5C1 4N3- P4NM 8K&C) and is found on the 30th floor. You also get the Rock Horn (higher recruit rate for rock pokemon).

For Explorers of Sky:

I think it's called the Great Hole (sorry I'm not an expert, I only own Explorers of Time and Darkness!) and I'm also pretty sure it can only be received in a random mission in Spinda's Cafe.

i don't remember much but i believe after you complete your pokedex and the elite 4 Cynthia (the hot chick you battle after the elite 4) will tell you to go to the top of mt. corbert because of a disturbance. whyen you get to the top you will arrive at a place called spear pillar. there you will find Cynthia and another guy. you will also see palkia and dialga guarding a portal to the the distortion world. when they disapper you and Cynthia will go into the portal to find giratina. (everyone says that you need a masterball to catch giratina but after i got his health down i caught him with an ultra ball in about three tries!)

just put it in the first slot in your pokemon team then give it a sooth bell(if you dont have a sooth bell look up where to find it) then give it to that pokemon. always fight with it always heal it when it gets hurt it will befriend you in no time
