To catch Darkrai on Pokemon Platinum, there must be a Mystery Gift event on.

If there is a Mystery Gift event on, (for Darkrai) fly to Jubilife City and go inside the TV Station. Then go to the third floor and talk to the man and woman. When he asks you feed back, enter: 'Everyone Happy' and then: 'Wi-fi Connection'. He should then react like this: "Oh...well i expect we can pull some strings for you! or something similar. Next save your game and turn off. Turn on again and walk into a Poke Mart. There should be a green man i there. Speak to him and say 'Yes' to receive the Mystery Gift for Darkrai! That's it! But make sure to save your game afterwards.
you need a wifi pass over the net or go to an event and get one and got to the locked inn at canalve city and you will know what to do shortly after that

You spell it Darkrai, not Darkri. Use the action replay code for a member's card and use it to unlock the inn in canalave city. There's a man in there who makes you fall asleep. You'll wake up on new moon island. Enter the cave there and you'll fight Darkrai.

You have to do a Nintendo event (they are on at certain countries) or use an action replay. You can buy an action replay for £15 at Argos. :)
