How do you catch Giratina in Pokemon?

First of all, obtain your National Dex. This is done by seeing all the Pokemon in Sinnoh. Next go to route 214. Go down a while until you see a path to the south of a Psychic (trainer with blue hair). Go down the path, into the forest, and then use Rock Climb to go up. Go right or left around and Rock Climb down. Go into the cave. It is recommended to have Defog and Rock Smash. If you keep going into the North door, you will soon see a lvl.70 Giratina. The wild Pokemon found in the cave are: Bronzor, Bronzong, Gastly, Haunter, and Golbat. They are around lvl.50. Outside the cave, on Spring Path, you will see wild Staravia, Golduck, and Chimecho around lvl.50 also. I hope my answer helps you catch this lvl.70 Ghost-Dragon type legendary! :]

after beating the elite 4 go to spring path. if you do not know where this is check on the map..... you NEED: rock climb, rock smash, defog, good catching skills unless you have a master ball. the giratina is level 70. Take a ghost Pokemon, and a staravia / staraptor. Only one of giratina's moves (the one where he fades into the shadows) can hit your ghost Pokemon. As this move has only 5 PP use, Giratina will soon run out of it. Keep your ghost Pokemon out, and whenever Giratina fades into the shadows, switch to staravia / staraptor, then back to you ghost Pokemon after the move misses. Unless you have a master ball, you will need LOADS of ultra balls. I would reccommend putting your ghost Pokemon first while travveling through the pillar rooms, with an attached smoke ball to escape from battles. Whenever the pillar that you read has the number 3 first, Giratina will be next no mattere which way you go. USE ULTRA BALLS NOT DUSK BALLS!. i tried using only dusk balls, they failed. Whereas Ultra Balls did not. There is also a You Tube clip. Try it out and it shows you what i did. Thanx for reading =)

First, finish the normal gameplay. Second, go to the spring path (AFTER you stock up on Dusk Balls. Max Repels are good, too.). Third, go to turn back cave with the HMs Defog and rock smash. Forth, Read 3 pillars (get to each one by going through each door to the right). Fifth, go talk to Giratina after you save. Turn the game off if you defeat it. Get out of the cave by going in the door at the bottom.
