You can get it in Area 1 and 2. In Area 1 there is 1% chance of finding one, and in Area 2 there are 4% of finding one. I strongly suggest searching in area 2 with sweet scent. The safari time will end if you use 600 steps or all your safari balls, and since chansey is so rare, it will be a huge advantage if you don't use your steps. Sweet scent makes Pokemon encounter you without moving, so you can stay in safari zone as long as you want.

∙ 13y agoSince Chansey only has a 1% encounter rate in the area you first start off in, you would want to go to area where you can find a quick claw, tm48, and a protein, since that place has a 4% encounter rate. As for advice, just be patient and keep trying.
