How do you change your appearance in Pokemon diamond?

You go to the Oreburgh Pokemon centre, and talk to the person with blue/purple hair. They'll ask you what trainer you want to be, and give you four choices. The one you pick will be how you appear in wifi. You can change at any time.

If you are talking about using the Action Replay, mainly there are codes to change the character's Sprite, but not the outfit itself. In Pokemon Platinum, your character has a different outfit than they did in Pokemon Pearl and Diamond, but it still remains unchangeable in the game.
