Cloning in Colosseum is simple. All you need to do is open up your save files directly from your Gamecube. You can do this by turning on the gamecube without a disc in, or with the disc lid open. Then go to 'memory card'. You should be able to make a copy of your Colosseum save file, so there will be two identical files.
Then you can restart the gamecube, and load the game as usual. Transfer the Pokemon onto your gameboy game from one of the files.
Now, there should be a whole 'nother set of those Pokemon on the extra save file :)
If this doesn't work, try saving the extra file onto another memory card, and maybe try removing the memory card as you do the trade.
