How do you complete national pokedex in Pokemon FireRed?

This information isn't entirely correct. Gameboy Advance games were made (obviously) after Gameboy Color games were. This being said, the technology to trade between emerald/ruby/sapphire/firered/leafgreen and red/blue/yellow/gold/silver/crystal did not exist. You can find some, if not most, of the Pokemon between the e/r/s/fr/lg games, but you don't have access to island number 8 or 9 without going to the Nintendo events. This means that Lugia and Ho-oh cannot be caught without finding ANOTHER clan of geeks, which is nearly impossible for the GBA games, seeing as the majority are DS-junkies.

You go to the place that has that guy who give you a shellos that is level one then you make it reppraduct with a your first fire type Pokemon so they have a egg and you go to sandgem and the proffeser will give you a hammer to smash the egg and you smash the egg and a wurmple pops out and eats your pokedex and then it poos out the complete pokedex. that is the way and I am defintly sure that is the way without cheating. or you could go to dawn or the guy if you are dawn and get a shotgun at the Pokemon league and you make the proffer hack the pokedexor you will shoot him, there is a 1% chance he will not hack it and will pull out a sword and kill you and your game will be corrupted.

The national pokedex is hard to finish especially because the entire hoenn region Pokemon are uncatchable in firered so you will need to do a lot of trading between ruby, sapphire and emerald. On top of all that you also have the johto region to worry about now you can catch a few on the islands but a few is not enough your mostly going get your johto Pokemon from emerald and Pokemon colosseum. When it comes to the legendaries that are not catchable in the game like lugia you need to get them from Pokemon xd gale of darkness and Pokemon colosseum at then end of all this trading you will not completely finish the pokedex but the game considers you to be complete. You should have 382 species at the end if you train, trade, and breed but again that's not all of them there's still 4 more left AKA the super legendaries why do i call them super because there the ones that are extremely special to get. First super legendary Mew you get this in emerald but you can't get it unless you have the old sea chart item which is not possible to get without cheating, Second super legendary Celebi in the Japanese pre order disc of Pokemon colosseum you can receive celebi as a gift obviously you would have to venture to Japan just to get it, Third super legendary Jirachi in the American pre order disc of Pokemon coloseum you get Jirachi as a present obviously you would have to find someone in the America with the disc, Fourth and finally Deoxys you need the aurora ticket to reach birth island where deoxys resides but you can't get the ticket without cheating so that bites.

Once you beat the PKMN league, you should talk to the Prof. and he'll give you a Nat. Pokedex. You will be able to get some Pokemon filled in it,but you have to have a previous Pokemon GBA game like Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Leaf Green, or Fire Red. Then you put the game pack into the game-pack slot.Then you'll need to find the Pal Park, and put some of your PKMN in the park. Go into the field and find your PKMN, and they'll be registered into your Pokedex.

You won't have a game pack slot for Nintendo DSi.
