In order to counter a Fairy-type deck, let's note what's in common with most of them:

• LIGHT-Attribute monsters
• Use of the Spell cards Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen and The Sanctuary in the Sky
• Centered on or featuring cards that negate effects

The first point is simplest and perhaps easiest to address: the LIGHT-Attribute. The "Ally of Justice" and "Koa'ki Meiru" cards are great anti-LIGHT cards. If you don't have/want these cards, another great card is Light-Imprisioning Mirror.

Addressing the second point, these Spell cards might not necessarily be vital for the Fairy deck to function, but they do help it out. Packing Spell/Trap card removal like Mystical Space Typhoon (MST), Giant Trundae, Dust Tornado, and more will help deal with these and other Spells and Traps your opponent might use.

The last point is difficult to address considering the best way to stop negation is with your own negation. However, another possible strategy is to simply use up all their cards... What I mean here is provoking your opponent to use their Counter Traps and/or monster effects on "bait"/ cards you wouldn't mind losing. It is best to attempt this when you notice your opponent is low on cards on his/her field; hopefully his/her hand doesn't have many cards either. Plus, you will need to have a backup plan in case your opponent decides to activate and, possibly get rid of, your cards. If this sounds risky that's because it is, but it could pay off if your opponent simply runs out of cards to address you. Or fail miserably if you underestimate your opponent's resources.

My last piece of advice is to simply be as disruptive/ annoying as possible. This somewhat coincides with the above strategy of using up your opponent's resources because if you know you have a card(s) that can protect you, you might be able to overextend yourself to put your opponent in a tight spot. Cards that have a cheap cost or no cost at all are great for this like Compulsory Evacuation Device, Draining Shield, Torrential Tribute, Dimensional Prison, Necro Gardna, Krebons, and Chaos Sorcerer.
