Well, I read these books in 4th and 5th grade. Their REALLY cool.
Count Olaf, if you have read, is definatly the "bad guy" in the series. The whole reason he's after the Baudelaire orphans is for their money.
He's very tall, thin, and extremely scary looking with a tattoo of an eye on his ankle. I mean, there IS a movie out, it's from I think books 1-4. Count Olaf is played by Jim Carry, who did an amazing job in my view.
Emotionally, I think Count Olaf is extremely smart, and cunning. He comes up with these wild plans that don't work to get the orphans, but no one ever thinks he's done it.
