Gold, Silver and Crystal players can find a low-level (5-6) Paras as early as Ilex Forest in addition to catching one in the National Park's Bug Catching Contest (anywhere from level 10-17), or even at its

vastly-downsized old haunt of Mt. Moon (at level 12).
