How do you find shinx Pokemon SoulSilver?

Ok im in that patch of grass to the north of the professor's lab place and im using my poke radar and everytime a patch of grass has that shiny yellow stuff coming out of it, my question is am I doing somthing wrong or is this guy just very hard to catch. This is my first attempt in trying to catch a shiny Pokemon so please just help me at least a little if you can. O and im realy not a poke nerd so please in your answers don't tell me this is gonna be a really long thing that's gonna require alot of patience, even though I now it is gonna take a while.

Okay, well what you need to do first is make sure you have a LOT of max repels. Before you go into the patch of grass, use one. Make sure your pokedex is on the 20th app. It'll show you your chain. Then go in and use the pokeradar. Once you get a Shinx on the first patch of grass you walk in on, beat it, DO NOT RUN, it will break your chain. After defeating the Shinx, go to the patch of grass that shakes furthest away from you. I haven't chained Shinx yet so i don't know if it has to be one with sparks coming out of it, but just go to the furthest one and test whether it has to have sparks to be a shinx. Keep doing this until you have a large chain around 30 or so. Somewhere along the way you might see a patch of grass that sparkles insistently. You'll know it's it when you see it. There lies your shiny shinx, but if you don't see a patch of grass like that before about 30 chains, just keep resetting your pokeradar which is just walking back and forth until you can use it again. If you're EVER unsure which patch of grass you want to go to, RESET. It'll be worth it. Make sure as soon as your max repel wears off you use another or you'll lose your chain on a random wild Pokemon. It may take several times and many hours but this trick is fool-proof. Happy hunting. (BTW this method works with any wild Pokemon that isn't legendary. It doesn't work on water Pokemon however, only Pokemon in grass.)

You can catch Shinx in SoulSilver by playing "Sinnoh Sound" from your Pokegear on Thursdays after unlocking the National Dex. They are found in the National Park, on Routes 1, 2, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 29

Go to Pokemon-gl and register an account and go to the dream world, pleasant forest, find a shinx, retrieve it, then sync it to your game. Only way how unless you trade from Pokemon diamond, pearl, or plat.

To find shinx, just go to the safari zone. they are often found on the plains. Put some stuff there that match the plains.
