There is 2 kind of ways:
1# Use the magnet train in Saffron City, Kanto, but you need a pass that you can get from a girl named Copycat in Saffron City.
2# Fly first to the Pokemon League and then fly again to the region you wanna go to.
3# (Bonus!) You can use the boat to sail, that is in Vermilion City and Olivine City. But only at some days of the week.

∙ 13y agoYou need to visit all the places at least once before you can fly to it. You also can't fly from a city in Kanto to a city in Johto.

I dont know about the "not look at part", but you can't fly to Kanto unless your outside the Pokemon League or the victory road. So it is just two flights instead of one.

Umm... You start the game in Johto. If you mean how do you get to Johto from Kanto, you can take the magnet train at Saffron City, the S.S. Aqua at Viridian City, or you could just fly from wherever you are in Kanto to either Indigo Plateau or Victory Road, then from there fly to wherever you want to go in Kanto.
