How do you get Tyranitar in Pokemon diamond?

Tyranitar can only be obtained in Platinum by evolving Pupitar and Larvitar.

Pupitar evolves into Tyranitar at level 55 and Larvitar evolves into Pupitar at level 30. Larvitar can be found in swarms on Route 206 (below Cycling Road, south of Eterna City and north of Route 207). You can obtain information about swarms through news reports on TVs or talking to Dawn's or Lucas's sister in Sandgew Town.

You can't catch a wild Tyranitar, u hav 2 evolve it from larvitar. wat u do is go 2 MT. silver and find 1 in the grass ontop of the mountain. or wat u cn do is after completing all of boaba's tasks, switch to the mountain terrain, place 5 rock items there and run through the grass. you'll b able to find Lv. 42 Larvitars. but larvitar evolves into pupitar, then into Tyranitar at Lv.55, like a Dragonair..

I believe you have to catch a Larvitar (look in Mt. Silver Cave) and level it up to level 30 so it can become a Pupitar. After that, level up Pupitar to level 55 to get a Tyranitar.

I recommend re-battling the Elite Four multiple times while your Pokémon (in this case Larvitar/Pupitar) holds an Exp. Share. Getting a Tyranitar will take a while, though, so be prepared!
