How do you get a Ditto in Pokemon LeafGreen?

If you know where Fuchsia city is, then head over there. (It's the city with a Safari zone zoo and the Safari zone for catching Pokemon) Then head east and go through the small zone building. Head all the way east almost to the end of the road, but if you stop at the area with the Bike gangs then you've gone too far. Head back west until you see the grass patches.

Search in the grass patches until you find a Ditto, but it is quite hard to find so you do need to be patient. You will eventually find one, and it's level ranges between 23 and 34. Don't get out your strongest Pokemon because Ditto can transform into it, and be just as strong. Lower it's HP until it's red and keep throwing Poke-balls at it until you catch it...

I think it's much easier to get a Ditto later on in the game. If you go to Cerulean cave (where Mewtwo is), the occurance of Dittos in battles are seemingly high, and their levels are either 58 or 67 (58 is more usual, but there are 67's out there too, so be careful!). Just go to the end of the cave and stroll around for a bit and you're gauranteed to face some dittos.

you go to fuchia city and go right, thenget onto the route, then advance up past the 4 bikers and use cut to access the tall grass and run around until a wild ditto appears.

Look, shiny Pokémon don't appear at a given place - they can appear literally ANYWHERE!! For a shiny Ditto, check the places where Ditto are found. There's a 1/8192 chance that you'll find a shiny one.

You can find ditto at lvl 58 or 67 in Cerulean cave, where Mewtwo resides.

Its pretty simple actually you go South of your home town and to the Pokemon mansion and there a ton in there.
