How do you get a hitmontop in LeafGreen?

The only way to obtain Hitmontop in-game is to breed the Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan that you get from Saffron City's Karate Dojo with a Ditto, and then ensure that when the subsequent Tyrogue reaches Level 20, its Attack and Defense stats are equal. However, any Pokémon hatched as a result of breeding with Ditto will have lower stats than average, so I recommend that you just trade for Hitmontop, or Tyrogue.

First, go to Saffron City, in the Dojo. Get either Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan. Then go to the day-care on Island Four, put it in with a Ditto. When you get an egg, it will hatch into Tyrogue. Level it up carfully, making sure that every time it levels up, it has the sam attack and defence stats. If it does have the same attack and defence when it gets to level 20, it will evolve into Hitmontop.
If you have Pokémon Colosseum, then you will have to snag one from Cipher Peon Skrub at Agate Bridge. If you do not have Colosseum, then this is going to be difficult for you. First, you'll have to go to Saffron City Dojo and beat up a load of Martial Arts dudes on two games (you'll need two games), then what happens is they offer to give you Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee. On one game, take Hitmonchan, and on the other, take Hitmonlee. If one of them is a male and one is a female, put them both in the Pokémon Day Care. Come back in about three days and the person at the desk will give you an Egg. Keep it in your party and eventually it will hatch. A Tyrogue will be the result. Get Tyrogue to Lv. 20 with its Attack and Defence exactly the same. It will evolve into a Hitmontop.

Go to mount mortar.make you sure you have one space in your party.In mount mortar you should find a karate trainer.He has a hitmonlee and hitmonchan.Defeat him and you will get a tyrogue.Train tyrogue to level 20 and make sure its attack and defence is equal and it will evolve into a hitmontop.

You cannot catch a Hitmontop in Pokémon Platinum however if you use the PokéRadar on the west side of Route 211 then you do have a chance to catch a Tyrogue and then raise it so that its Attack and Defense are equal when it evolves at Level 20 and then it'll be a Hitmontop.

First breed hitmontop now with tyrogue train it to level 19 check its attack and defense stats if they are equal train it one more level if they are still equal it should become hitmontop use protein/iron to help equalize the stats if there not equal.
