How do you get a shiny Ho-oh in heart gold?

P.S. You can use the Poke'gear to find out where it is but if you use Fly it will move to a different location

I found mine somewhere around the Lake of Rage.

Once the hounds are released from the tower, it's time to find Entei.

Leave the right side of the National Park into Route 36, and move south a little until you reach the top of Route 35. Keep moving back and forth, checking each time whether Entei has entered your route, since he moves every time you change routes.

When he eventually moves into your area, move East to the small patch of grass. *IMPORTANT* You must save BEFORE you encounter him. Each encounter uses the stat values from the first encounter, so if you have seen it before doing this, he will never be shiny.

Walk into the grass, meet Entei. If he isn't shiny, soft reset the game (L+R+Sel+Start) and try again. If he is shiny, do your best to catch him, but if he flees, promptly save afterwards, as he will stay shiny for your next encounters.

Be prepared to spend a long time SR'ing your game, because the odds of making Entei shiny are 1/8,192. No, that is not a typo. Yes, it is painfully long, but once you finally get him, it's totally worth it.
