Shiny pokemon are pokemon with different colours. Such as a chancey being orange and things like that. I don't think a shiny trail means its shiny though, as pokemon cant change colours, they're born shiny or they aren't.

Get on ur bike and ride across. the trail is broken into 3 sections. to get across u have to bunny hop. to do this, press a direction button (in this u use up) and B at the same time, Once ur past, find some gras and run around. You will find phanpy easily
