Normally, you can catch the In-Training form of your starter at the Data Forest. So, if you chose Agumon in the beginning of the game, you can get scan data from a Koromon there and evolve it into another one.
If you didn't, there's another way. Enter the password 20000630 near Mr. Gure to get scan data from DotAgumon, then degenerate and evolve it into an Agumon.
