After you go to saffron city meaning you have to beat the Pokemon league in the Johto region then you will have acess into the kanto region, you go to saffron city go to the little pink house and find the girls doll (witch is in vermilion in the Pokemon fan club house).

You get the doll from the guy return it to the girl and then go in the train and go ba ck to saffron and go to the Silph Co. place then steven fomr hoenn region will be there. ( Make sure you have room in your party.) After this he will say : If I were to ask you to give me a stone ( I don't remember what he says) Then he will have choices , Red Stone (Torchic) ,

Blue Stone (Mudkip) , Green Stone (treeko). And that's how!
you must first find Stephen after you beat the elite four and all the kanto gyms. i cannot remember where exactly i found him but when you do he asks you to capture latios (latias in heartgold) latios acts like the legendary dogs and runs around the map. you dont have to catch it r even attempt to catch it all you have to do after talking to Stephen is go to saffron city and go into the silph.company building and he should be standing by the receptionist desk. he asks you what color stone you would pick out of red, green, and blue. (the color of the stone is the type of Pokemon you get)
Get all 16 badges, then go to Saffron City's technology building. Steven Stone will be there and he'll give you three options of stones. Pick blue stone.

Well You have to have eight badges go to white forest make a left keep going left until you see a building. Go in there You need two ds. Then go up to the guy on the top. He will be speaking English weird so then he will say will u like to use poke transfer click yes. Then the other ds system has to do ds download play and then he chooses his or her Pokemon the person on the ds that is giving 6 Pokemon to you. But he has to use a crossbow with a poke-ball. He will shoot them at the Pokemon. Hints... If there in the grass peeking out u still cant get them but if they jump out its your chance. If you get annoyed and they wont come out and you see a pink little cloud, shoot the poke-ball at it the Pokemon will be asleep if there in the grass and you get the pink cloud you can catch them. But you have a time limit, Next at the end it will say on his or her ds the Pokemon can not return once they have been transferred and on yours it will say waiting for friend to finish at the end it will say on his or her ds will u like to transfer if they say no you do poke-transfer all over again but if they say yes you will get them.
