How do you get past sunyshore city Pokemon pearl?

you have to have all 8 gym badges and all HMS. If you have done that train EXTREMELY HARD until your Pokemon are in their late lvl 50s. After that stock up on lots of medicines, then head down to sunyshore beach use surf and battle your way to the end where there should be a Pokemon centre, and a cave then head off on your next part to the jouney

Here is how to get through the gear puzzle in the Gym in Sunyshore City. After first entering the Gym take the right path and step on the green button 5 times then take the other path that will be coming from where the Gym Statues is near. Go up that path and hit the button once and it'll right up to the door entrance that's by the trainer.

In the next room hit the blue button that you can see right away 3 times then walk across the gear on the left side. Go onto the blue button so that you hit it only once then follow the path and hit the green button once. Follow the path and you'll wind up on the right side of the room. Go across the gear and head through the door.

In the next room take the path on the button that leads to the "right" button and hit it only once. Take the other path and hit the red button on that path once as you make your way through that path. Go up the stairs to the left of you then across the gear then go up some more stairs. Go ontto the path where the green button is at and hit the green button and hit it twice then follow the path until you get to a blue button and hit it only once. Go down across the gear then go down the stairs and hit the red button on the right once then head back up the stairs and go back across the same gear then go up the stairs then follow the path that'll lead directly to the middle platform which the Gym Leader is on.

You just keep heading right! you'll find the exit there (past the picnicker, I believe). But if you're going up, there isn't an exit in that area... Trust me, I've looked.
