You activate Assault Mode Activate and send a face up Stardust Dragon you control to the graveyard. Then, you special summon Stardust Dragon/Assault mode from your deck. If the assault mode monster is in your hand, you can't special summon it. This is why you would also want Assault Teleport.

∙ 14y agoYou use the Trap Card 'Assault Mode Activate', tributing a regular Stardust Dragon as a cost. Stardust Dragon Assault Mode is then summoned on resolution from your deck, meaning if it ends up in your hand, you can't summon it.

Consider the terms "Stardust Dragon" and "a Stardust Dragon monster". The first means a monster called, and only called "Stardust Dragon", while the second would be any monster with 'Stardust Dragon' in the name.
"Majestic Star Dragon" uses the former, and only a regular "Stardust Dragon" will do.

More than likely though Stardust Dragon will simply activate its negation effect.
