Because the previous morning, Gandalf had "scratched a queer sign on the hobbit's beautiful green front door" as a sign so that the dwarves would know that Bilbo was the one he had chosen to go on their adventure with them. By knocking very hard on the mark with his staff, Gandalf put a dent in the wood over top of where the sign had been, erasing any evidence that it had been there. That way, Bilbo would not blame Gandalf for all of the dwarves coming to his house to take him on an adventure.

Yeah... there are lots of chaos' in sonic adventure DX. to get the golden egg go to the rock egg. (next to the door that you enter first as knuckles.) then carry it to the antique store and replace it with the egg. then carry it to a chao garden. To get the black egg. go to the prison in the egg carrior as E-102" and push the switch next to the second jail cell and take it to a chao garden. and the silver chao egg. go to the waterfall next to the mist in mystic ruins then go right and push the thing in and it will fall in the water. from josh silveous
in the mystic Ruins you go to the bottom left and go in the door but first you have to a puzzle. you need a flying type like tail to get to that place. and then you have to check all of the doors to find knuckles.

No. There is no Black Market in Sonic Adventure 1. It didn't exist yet. However, it does show up in Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. 1. Go into the hotel of Station Square and go to the Chao Garden (not Mystic Ruins or the Egg Carrier). 2. Look to the left of the entrance and you shall see another door. Walk near it and it will swing open. 3. You're now in the Chao Black Market! You can buy stuff for your Chao with the rings you have found in the Adventure Fields (not Action Stages). The Black Market is a leftover feature from Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, so that is why it is in the GCN/PC version (actually, there wasn't anything "Director's Cut" about SADX, SA2:B was more of a Director's Cut since it utilized actual lost features). There WAS a Black Market in the Dreamcast version, but only via connecting with the official website. It's entirely different from the SA2 Black Market and gave you special jewel-coloured Chao if you had enough Emblems. Also, it wasn't available in North America, no idea about Europe.
