How do you get the little thing over the E in Pokemon when you're typing?

In Windows (not sure if it works in MAC and so),

have Num Lock on (hit the Num Lk button so you can use the numbers on the number pad on the side),

Press and hold down Alt and enter in the number pad 130, that should give you the é.

On some keyboards is a button/key that has this symbol on it: ´ when you hit that and then e you'll get é. German keyboards have that on them, for example.

Another thing you can do (at least in Windows 7 and perhaps other versions too), is to go in Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map, select é hit Select, then Copy, then either hit with the right mouse button in the box you want to enter é and choose Paste, or select the box you want to type it in and hit Ctrl+V.

In some occasions, you can use entity numbers or entity names to write that letter. This é or this é should be displayed as é. Works on some websites, mostly those which display HTML, or some forum.

In case my last example displays 3 é in one sentence (because this website translates automatically), here is what I wrote:

This é or this éshould be displayed as é.

There are several ways to make an accented e (é), which depends on the computer you have.

The common way to create accented letters is to use the Alt codes (in windows)

To make an é, press (and hold) the ALT key while typing in the letters 130 with the num-lock numbers (make sure num-lock is on). Once you finish typing out the numbers, release the ALT key and the é will appear.

If you are using Microsoft Word, you can type CTRL + ', let go and then press the e key to get a é.

If you are using a Mac, press Option + E, let go and then press the e key to get the é.
