How do you get the road unblocked in Pokemon FireRed?

You must first beat the elite four which I'm assuming you already have.

Then you must collect all 8 badges from the kanto region,

Talk to Prof. Oak and he will then allow you access to mt. silver

The 'block' in the road you are talking about is probably the snorlax in front of Diglett Cave. You need to awaken it with the PokeFlute channel on your radio. Otherwise, there is no block in the road to Pallet Town.

You get the silph scope from the rocket hidout then get through pokemon tower to get the pokeflute then use it and you get a snorelax if you catch it
