In Kruger National Park, signs of a kill can be identified through various indicators. These include the presence of fresh carcasses, scattered bones, or remains, which may attract scavengers like vultures and hyenas. Additionally, tracks and trails leading away from the kill site can indicate predator activity. Observing animal behavior, such as increased activity from scavengers or predators in the area, can also suggest a recent kill.

When did the Kruger Park open?

Kruger National Park officially opened to the public in 1927. Before that though, it was a smaller park called the Sabie Game Reserve which was begun in 1898 due to concern about the rate at which wildlife was hunted. Only when Sabie Game Reserve, Shingwedzi Game Reserve and various local farms joined together did the park become known as Kruger National Park. The park is named after Paul Kruger who was the president of the Transvaal Republic from 1880 to 1900.
