if you mean so that you only have one Pokemon to enter the dungeon with, then you first have to finish the story mode part of the game, and once you've done that, go on a rescue mission and you're partner will tell you how to only take one person into a dungeon.

If needed, you have to clear a dungeon to be alone.
Visit your partner in specific friend area( its friend area depends on what partner Pokemon you choose) and make it join your team. Then, select command Make leader to switch leaders. Then you became your partner that way. Then you need to go to the Whiscash Pond and enter the narrow cave there. Talk to the big crystal( what is its name, I can't remember it easily) and say that you seek evolution. This is possible when in summary writes that evolution is possible.

∙ 10y agoFirst, recruit whatever it is you want. Then, if you want to leave it in its friend area, go there, if you have it, and press A by that pokemon. It will pop up a big box. One option will say Standby. Click that and they will stay behind in the friend area.

Mr. fuji is a HUGE ,mystery in Pokemon soul silver. Nobody knows why Mr.Fuji is even in the game. All he does is that he has that Pokemon orpange, and hang out in the house of memories, which does nothing. Basicaly, he does nothing because he never leave the house of memories.

You have to buy friend area's (from Wigglytuff if you're playing the first mystery dungeon otherwise I don't know from who) and then when you beat a pokémon in a dungeon it might say that it wants to become a member of your team and then you can recruit it. But beware that it doesn't faint before you leave the dungeon otherwise it will leave your team again.

If you try to go to the dungeon (the path south of your base) Your partner will ask you about changing the team's leader. In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/ Darkness The changing leader option is available after the graduation ( After you beat Dialga and save the world). I think Chimecho tells you about it.
