How do you migrate Pokemon from LeafGreen and FireRed versions onto your Pokemon Diamond and Pearl?

First you have to beat the Elite 4 on each game. Then you insert your 2 games into your DS. Then when you get to the title screen on Pokemon pearl there will be a box that says migrate. But before all that you have to have six Pokemon that are not legendary. Different Person That's not quite right. You can't migrate Pokemon from D/P because the makers of Firered hadn't thought that they would be making the D/P versions yet, though R/S versions were already underway.

First you must complete you Diamon or Pearl version. By this I mean completing your sinnoh Pokedex - when you've done that (most people have about 3 Pokemon they still have to see after completing the elite 4), look at your map. 'Pal Park' is at the bottom and that's where you need to go.

If I remember rightly it was previously unavailable with some bulder blocking your way, but now you should be able to go in. The guy at the counter should guide you through it.

Now that's done, save and turn off, and then put your Leaf-green/Fire-red into the Gba slot. Turn on again and go back onto the game. On the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl menu, select 'Import Pokemon from Firered/Leafgreen' (or something like that).

Select six Pokemon (can't have HMs) and then you will be back playing from where you saved. Talk to the guy again, he'll say a load of stuff, go into the park, catch your Pokemon, voila.

You can only do an import once a day.
