Yes, there is a way, I think. This is kind of a long process, so sorry that this is kind of long. Okay, first you have to beat the elite four and go to the battle frontier. Now I play emerald, but if there isn't a battle frontier, then never mind. Go to the battle frontier and have a rare candy on you. Give that rare candy to a Pokemon and go to the battle tower. Go to the PC and deposit that Pokemon with the rare candy, then get off the PC and save. Get back on, get the Pokemon with the rare candy back, and turn the PC off. Then go to the first receptionist closest to the PC. Talk to her, challenge the link multi battle, choose level 50, and choose your two Pokemon to be entered. Then she will ask you to save, say yes. There will be a long gap of time before the saving screen comes up, that means it's working. Say yes to saving the game, and say no to the overwriting. Next, before she stops talking, quickly turn off your gameboy or DS. Turn it back on and in the PC, there will be the Pokemon cloned with the hold item rare candy. Take the item back and use it on a Pokemon, but be careful, if you use all of them, you have to find another rare candy.
You can also keep multiplying rare candies by giving the cloned rare candy to another Pokemon in your party, then do the cloning process and you have more candy!
