ok so when your through the dive section of the ship, there should be six rooms.
each room you go into you will see a sparkle on the floor.
stand next to this sparkle, press a, and you will either find a bit of trash or another room key.
keep unlocking the correct rooms with the keys until you get to i think room 6.
inside this room you will find the scanner, unless its in the room next to it that is connected by a hole in the wall.
