I don't actually have pokemon heartgold, but i have soulsilver and it's pretty much the same in every pokemon game. Simply go to the Pokemon centre, go to the thing that looks like a PC and press A. Then go on Someone's PC (or if you have done something in the game , cant remember what it will come up as [someones name's] PC)
After that, go onto deposit pokemon and choose which pokemon from your party should go into the many boxes in the PC. Simples!
