Step 1. Go to Hearthome City and either go north of the Gym or go north of the Church.
Step 2. Have the Pokemon said above in your party.
Step 3. Go stroll into Amity Square.
Step 4. End.

Any or all of the allowed Pokemon that walk with you in Amity Square would pick up any item. You just got to check them every few minutes.Take this as a note, though... Different Pokemon you take with you would pick up different items as you walk.Zigzagoon is another Pokemon with the "Pickup" ability. To get maximum beauty you have to feed the Pokemon either lv.20+ poffins made from wiki berries, or poffins made from pamtre berries. If you're trying to evolve feebas - which I'm guessing you are - you don't have to completely maximize it but get very close. Pamtre berries can only be found by strolling around in Amity square (with any Pokemon), and even so they are rare.

No, you cannot transfer any Pokémon from "Pokémon HeartGold" to "Pokémon SoulSilver" by using the Pokéwalker. The reason is, the Pokemon never 'leave' the cartridge, they are just flagged to not appear in your boxes until they 'return from a stroll'. But if the Pokewalker is lost, the Pokemon can be unflagged and reappear in your box by using a certain buttom combination.
