Much depends on the size of the tank and if you have other larger or aggressive fish with them. Plants are always a good idea, plastic plants if you are a newbie, different sizes and colors, this will give your fish some places to hide if they are timid or chased by other fish. If you have a larger tank a few rocks can be used for decoration also, check out what is available at your local pet store.

What inspired Walt Disney to create Mickey Mouse?

Mickey Mouse was created by Walt Disney, Ub Iwerks and Les Clark in 1928. He was created to replace Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Disney had previously used the character of Oswald in several animated shorts produced by Charles Mitnz. In 1928, Disney's requests for an increased budget was met with opposition from Mitnz, who instead insisted that Disney take a 20% budget cut. Mintz owned all rights to the Oswald character and had also signed most of Disney's animators to a new company, producing shorts for Universal Studios. Disney refused this deal and worked with Iwerks and Clark to create a new character. Mickey Mouse (originally called Mortimer) was inspired by a pet mouse once owned by Disney. He debuted (along with Minnie Mouse) in the 1928 short, Plane Crazy.

Why does Mickey Mouse have buttons on his pants?

so he can take them off.AnswerWhen Mickey Mouse was made in 1928, zippers were not available on children's clothing AT ALL. It was a recent invention (see "zippers" in Wikipedia) and was not generally accepted as a fastener in clothing. The average men's trouser was fastened to the body with buttons. A child's pants were made with three buttons...one to secure the waist band, and two to secure the flap for "number one". Yes, there was a flap covering the privates. In men's clothing there were a series of buttons on either side, a style still seen in older Navy Seamen's dress blues. But a child's breeches were made as simply as possible, so the pants only had three buttons...one you didn't see, and two you did. So unintentionally, Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks gave the Mouse a preadolescent age in their animation. It was simpler to make Mickey's pants with two buttons rather than many.

What is the sexual orientation of Mickey Mouse?

The Children's Television Workshop was forced some time ago to take a stand on Bert and Ernie, and it may be worth repeating here: They are not gay. They are not straight. They are puppets. ("Get a life" was implied, but not explicitly stated.)Mickey is a cartoon mouse. His sexual orientation is nonexistent, irrelevant, and/or whatever the dictates of the plot of the movie he's in demand that it be.That said ... all indications I can ever recall are that he's heterosexual. His love interest is nearly always Minnie. If Disney ever makes a cartoon in which Mickey's love interest is a male character named "Maxie Mouse", then for the duration of that cartoon, maybe he's gay. But in general it's a pointless question.
