I haven't heard of "Athens Bat Company" - but it is almost certainly a name used by Hanna Manufacturing. Variations of their name, including Hann Batrite, appeared on their bats. They made bats in Athens, GA from 1926 until the company went out of business in 1976.
Hanna Batrite Baseball bats were indeed manufactured in Athens, Ga from the 1920's until around 1976. Many pros had their names inscribed including Hall of Famers. My personal one has Luke Appling's signature and is probably an 80 out of 100. It is a 29 inch Little League bat that, believe it or not, I won in a raffle at the Glenwood Theatre in Decatur, GA around 1965. Like almost everything else, value is determined by supply and demand among other things like condition. I was told that my bat in its present condition would be worth between $50-$75 to a collector.
Hanna made souvineer bats with hundreds of different store names and for various promotional events. Most sell for between $5 and $25 unless someone wants the bat because of the connection to the store or event. I have about 60 different Hanna promotional and souvineer bats in excellent condition and paid no more than $20 or $25 for any of them. Most were purchased for between $5 and $15. In worn condition, the bat might sell for $3 or $4. A great many of these can be found in excellent condition because they were not used; a great number were put in a drawer or in a closet and protected from wear.

A vampire bat is one of three species of South American bat that has special anticoagulants in it's saliva. It uses it's specialized incisors to make a small cut in an animal's skin. The bat's saliva inhibits the blood from clotting making it easier to lap approximately 2 tablespoons for it's meal.
