Trap Master only destroys the Trap when his effect resolves. You can chain that trap to his activation, and it will resolve before it gets destroyed. The only time a Counter Trap could activate in that case, is if it is going to negate Trap Master's effect. So that would be almost always Divine Wrath or GB War Chariot.
