I don't think you can. I've tried trading between gameboy advance and gameboy games, it didn't work. *you CAN'T. Generation 2 games cannot communicate to Generation 3 or later due to storage differences. Sorry :[ I found out the hard way when i tried trading between Gold and Emerald. Though Crystal CAN trade with Gold, and Silver. (idk if Crystal can do this but Gold can also Time Trade backwards with Red, Yellow and Blue.)
Yes but you also can trade using a GBA to GBA link cable.
if it has ends that plug into the gamecube and the GBA, then yes
You have to have two Game Boy Advances to trade with emerald and ruby and a GBA to GBA link cable, another way to trade is if you use a GCN (gamecube) to GBA cable and you use Pokemon colosseum or Pokemon xd gale of darkness to trade emerald or ruby Pokemon to there then use colosseum or xd gale of darkness to trade your emerald or ruby Pokemon to the other game either ruby or emerald. Theres no way you can use a DS to trade with GBA games because the DS is not compatible with the GBA link cable.
You can use the wireless adapter from leaf-green/fire-red, if that doesn't count as an adapter. You may also be able to use the DS wireless, with 2 DS's. Lastly, you can trade with in-game traders, inside houses, but they are very specific.
Not long at all once you have both GBA's connected initiate the link by going upstairs in any Pokemon center on both GBA's and talk to the trade center, colosseum or record corner lady to start the link!
No you need the original GB cable.
Yes but you also can trade using a GBA to GBA link cable.
Yes. But you will have to find a GBA-Gamecube Link Cable which are VERY RARE!
no
You can trade pokémon by using a link cable between your GBA sp / GBA.
if it has ends that plug into the gamecube and the GBA, then yes
well, there are 2 things, a link cable and there is an adaptor.
There is 3 methods: Gba link cable, Gba wireless adapter and Gba to Gcn cable. With the link cable you can trade with firered, leafgreen, ruby, sapphire and emerald. With the wireless adapter you can trade with firered, leafgreen and emerald. With the Gba to Gcn cable you can trade with firered, leafgreen, emerald, ruby, sapphire, Pokemon colosseum, Pokemon xd gale of darkness and Pokemon box: ruby and sapphire. In each game in the Pokemon center you can go upstairs and talk to a lady that will lead you to the trade center (remember you need the link cable or wireless adapter for this method and you also need another Gba you can also use GbaSP). Once you talk to the lady say Yes to all her questions afterward one of the players must press A twice to enter the trade room. With the Gba-Gcn cable you must save the game in a Pokemon center with the Pokemon you want to trade in your party and in Pokemon colosseum/Pokemon xd gale of darkness you must beat the game then go to phenac city's Pokemon center and go in the basement and talk to the lady to open the trade screen turn on the gba with the game inside and start trading! With Pokemon box you should be able to trade at anytime.

You can either use GBA link cables to trade between ruby and emerald via the upstairs room in the Pokemon center or you can use a GBA to GCN cable to trade with colosseum and xd gale of darkness.
you can't a GBA link cable can't connect to a DS.
you need a GBA link cable and 2 gameboys and 2 Pokemon gameboy games
