Did you use the code on Codejunkies?
If so, you simply hold the 'R' button on your DS/DSi just before the Pokemon you're battling faints, and don't let go until it displays how much EXP you earned.
If not, I would suggest using the Codejunkies code for it.

No it gives the exact same xp as what your Pokemon earn like if you have two Pokemon that fought in the same battle one gets 100 the other one also gets 100 and the one with the xp share gets 200 get it? hope i helped!
