Peeta does not change that much in The Hunger Games. He just goes basically into depression after katniss tells him she was actingfor the games. But in the third book *SPOILER ALERT* he is hijaced by the capitol, and thinks Katniss is trying to kill him, so he hates her. Hope this helped(:
