He was responsible for a car accident which killed seven people, including his wife. In his quest to save seven people, he planned to give his heart to a woman who needed a transplant. When he fell in love with her he breifly hoped they both could live. But when the doctor reconfirmed that the chances of her getting a heart other than his were so small, he went through with his original plan, thus saving her life and completing his penance.

∙ 14y agoYes. After realising he loves the woman and the woman may die as they can't find a heart donor, he runs a bath with ice cold water and he put himself and the jellyfish inside the water. The jellyfish electrocute him to death as they survive in warm waters. (he rings emergency services to report his suicide before his heart is then transplanted into her body) It is revealed at the end that this was his plan all along to help these seven people by donating several parts of his body to people who need a transplant.
