Prince Philip's surname is Mountbatten. He was born on 10 June 1921 to parents Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg. During World War I, his family changed their name from Battenberg to Mountbatten to separate themselves from the German name. At birth he was: His Royal Highness Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark. After his marriage to the Queen he became: His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Lord Ivar Mountbatten was born in 1963.
Queen Elizabeth II's Great-Grandfather King Edward VII, and Lord Mountbatten's Grandmother Princess Alice, were brother and sister, children of Queen Victoria. Queen Elizabeth referred to Lord Mountbatten as "Uncle Dickie". Also, Lord Mountbatten's sister Alice married Prince Andrew of Greece, and they had a son Phillip, who married Queen Elizabeth II and became the Duke of Edinburgh, making the Queen and her husband 3rd cousins. So....Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip both had Queen Victoria as a Gt-Gt-Grandmother. Lord Mountbatten had Queen Victoria as his Gt-Grandmother. The Mountbatten name was originally Battenberg, but was changed during the first World War because of hostilities with Germany. The Royal Family stopped using their German names and titles in 1917. The titles were inherited because of Queen Victoria's husband Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
Lord Leopold Mountbatten was born on 1889-05-21.
Lois Mountbatten, uncle of Queen Elizabeth's husband Prince Philip, was killed by a bomb planted by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) while boating in the Republic of Ireland.
At the beginning of the 20th century the monarchs of Britain (Obviously) Germany & Russia were all descended from Queen Victoria.
We know very little about the life of Philip. While several of the apostles were related to each other or even cousins of Our Lord, Philip appears to not have been related to either Our Lord or any of the other apostles.
