How long does it take for Pokemon to have an egg?

It takes a short walk from the moomoomilk place to the bottom of solaceon town and you can go back. They need to be in the same egg group. For example, pikachu and clefairy are in the fairy group. If they are not in the same egg group, then it wont work. You have to put a male and a female. It doesn't matter if put ditto in the daycare. Swinub and hippopotas are in the same group. If the swinub is female, then it is sure that there will be a swinub.

you could get on your bike and then find that route that you wont crash on and then do it for about eight times.

To get a Ditto, You have to transfer it from GBA Games, Such as Fire Red, I think they are on Leaf Green, Etc. Or you can be a cheater like most and use Action Replay codes to get one.

And for waiting for a egg, I just go up and down the straight path by Solaceon town. It goes through Route 209, Solaceon Town and Route 210. Hope this Helps!

Improving on where to get a Ditto. :B As soon as you reach the Pal Park for the first time, Prof. Oak or whoever will give you the Pokerader. Use this at route 218 (the one next to Canalave city) in the grass. Look especially for the spots that wiggle a lot. It won't be a Ditto every time, but you will definitely get a Ditto sometime. They're around level 30 or so. Also, there's the GTS, but people there are so unreasonable that you'll have a hard time getting anything for less than a level 100 legendary.

It really depends what type of egg it is. Phione eggs are like 10,000,000 steps to hatch, wheras Chimchars and things like that take around 3,000 steps. My Piplup Egg took 5610 steps to hatch.

Actually, dude, get your factts straight, it only takes phione 9165 steps for it to hatch, you cant even get 10 million steps. I know this because I used action replay for manaphy and bred it with ditto to get the phione egg and it took me 9165 steps. So no one listen to that noob.

Regirock, like every legendary except Manaphy, cannot be bred with any Pokemon in the Day Care. They belong to the No Egg Group which prevents them from breeding with any Pokemon.
