How many discs are there in the Sailor Moon Box Set?

It depends on which boxed set you're talking about. As far as official English releases go, there are:

• 8 discs in the uncut Japanese (English subtitled) Sailor Moon, as released by ADV Films
• 8 discs in the uncut Japanese (English subtitled) Sailor Moon R, as released by ADV Films
• 14 discs covering the original English dub of Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R, also released by ADV Films
• 6 discs in Sailor Moon S, as released by Pioneer (later Geneon)
• 7 discs in Sailor Moon SuperS, as released by Pioneer/Geneon
• 3 discs for each of the Sailor Moon movies (Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S, and Sailor Moon SuperS), released by Pioneer/Geneon.

Sailor Moon Sailor Stars (the fifth and final season) of the anime was never released in English, and thus does not have an official boxed set release. Likewise, there is no "complete series" boxed set for the entire Sailor Moon series in English.

When Pioneer/Geneon began releasing Cloverway's English release of the third and fourth seasons of Sailor Moon, they included the uncut/subtitled editions alongside the uncut/dubbed episodes, but the edited "As seen on TV" dubs were also released. The number of the discs was the same.

Any boxed sets that have a different number than what is listed here for English-language Sailor Moon DVDs are most likely bootlegs. These numbers do not reflect boxed sets released in the original Japanese or any other language.
