It is uncertain. Many say yes some say no. (WARNING! MAY BE A SPOILER!) He has a beam from a huge arc reactor blasted through the suit.
The arc reactor is a chest piece that has enough power to keep Tony Stark alive. the arc reactor is used to not only keep tony alive but to use the iron man suit.
Shrapnel reaching his heart in the first movie, and paladium in his heart (from his micro arc reactor in his chest) poisoned him and killing him, in Iron-Man 2.
When Tony Stark is in the Iron Man suit, yes it give him "superhuman" strength. Iron man does not have super human strength, he climbs into a suit that allows him to become much stronger
Hopefully because he has integrated the armour into his body. There's Avengers 2, and at the end of Iron Man 3 - post credits - is Stark talking to Bruce Banner. So Iron Man MUST be back. So if there's no arc reactor in his chest, how will the suit be powered now? It raises annoying questions. If you look at the next 'stage' of Iron Man, Tony integrates the suit into his body.
Unfortunately, Tony Stark's ARC reactor technology is merely fiction.
