ITV (Independent Television) is a public service network of British commercial television broadcasters. ITV was first launched in 1955. Over the years many of the companies that formed the ITV network have merged into larger groupings. Today ITV is owned by ITV plc which operates 11 of the 15 regional companies. ITV plc was formed by the merger of Granada plc and Carlton Communications in 2004. Granada and Carlton own the ITV1 brand and use the name Channel 3 as their legal name.
ITV plc was created in 2004.
Those particular channels may yet still be analog from your cable provider. Try doing a channel search with the analog tuner portion of your TV and see if they show up there. If they do, you'll have to switch between digital and analog inputs on your TV to receive the channels.

ITV is one of the largest British television companies. It has a broadcast network and also produces programming as part of its operation. In the UK, it broadcasts several separate channels but they are restricted to the UK only. Satellite platforms that run ITV channels can often be received outside the UK but the coverage is limited to Western Europe. There is no ITV broadcast in North America but because ITV produce some of their own content, some of the programming can be found on North American networks. Additionally, an amount of the ITV output can be viewed on the Internet although legal restrictions prevent some of it being viewed outside the UK. Take a look at www.itv.com for more information and to log onto the streamed channels.

The US version of the show can be viewed on the ABC or NBC television channels. The UK version can be viewed on the ITV or 3E channels. Clips of the show can also be viewed online on the youtube video hosting website.
The ten o clock news can be viewed in the UK on ITV. There was outrage a few years ago as it was announced that ITV was planning on changing the time from the regular 10pm slot as it has been shown on this channel since 1967.
