I would also wonder. I am to related to fanny Crosby and have many times been told that I am related to Bing. I know for sure that Crosby family that spells their name Crosbie is the same as Crosby and was split by a very old fued. But I know I being a Crosby am related to Bing. I will definitley try and find out. I also know that my brother was named after a Nathaniel Crosby who was the father grandfather etc of Bing. So I will later give that exact info.
After watching the Sunday morning show today 7/6/08 - I also wanted to know if there was a relationship to Bing..... I Googled it and found there is no relation to Bing Crosby. Following is a blurb from a website I found: "Extra credit: Crosby's nickname "Bing" grew out of his childhood interest in a comic strip titled The Bingville Bugle... He attended Gonzaga University... Crosby's theme song was The Blue of the Night... He's the brother of bandleader Bob Crosby, the father of actress Mary Crosby and the grandfather of actress Denise Crosby. Mary Crosby played Kristin Shepard, the gal who shot J.R. Ewing on the TV series Dallas; Denise Crosby played Lt. Tasha Yar on Star Trek: The Next Generation... The familiy is no relation to singer David Crosby... Bing Crosby and Bob Hope both started golf tournaments; Crosby's famous pro-am was held for many years at Pebble Beach golf club in California... Crosby was the topic of the 2001 biography A Pocketful of Dreams by author Gary Giddins."Here's the link on Bing where this blurb of text came from:http://www.who2.com/bingcrosby.html

There were many famous artists of the 1970's. Two famous painters were Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andrew Wyeth. Bing Crosby was a famous singer.
Bing Crosby had many hit songs but one of which was the song "Only Forever". If you are looking for how many hit songs he had during the 1940's I really have no clue but I would look around.
Bing Crosby's Last Song has 288 pages.
Bing Crosby died on October 14, 1977 at the age of 74.

Bing Crosby released an album in 1945 titled 'Merry Christmas'. This album has 12 tracks, including Crosby's most well known song "White Christmas". The album itself has sold millions of copies and remains the second best-selling Christmas album.

Out of This World
Many singers have recorded this song , but the most popular version is by Bing CrosbyBing Crosby sang it in Irving Berlin's "Holiday Inn" in 1942 (starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire). The song was later featured in the 1954 "remake" titled "White Christmas" starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
There's many songs that celebrate the Christmas holiday. But, unless the record chart history has changed, there's only 1 Christmas song that hit #1 on the charts. That would be pop artist Bing Crosby, with the song "White Christmas." Bing introduced the song to the world by singing it in the movie, "Holiday Inn," back in 1942. Now, many artists in various fields of music, including country, have release Christmas music. Many have been hits on various charts. But, I don't know of anybody that has passed Bing Crosby, in having a Christmas single to hit #1 on any chart ~ including the country charts.
