∙ 11y agoWell after you beat the elite four you can fight him as many times as you want in the fight area. but sometimes he's not there so you have to wait. Be Careful though! He gets strong!

Here are the conditions to battle your rival;
1. Beat E4
2. Help Buck at Stark Mountain
After you're done, Barry should be at the Fight Area. But he only appears if it's on a weekend (Sat/Sun) but you can change the date on your DS/DSi anyway, though.

∙ 13y agoAlthough you battle him several times throughout the story, you can battle him any time you want after beating the main story, because he becomes the Pokemon League Champion of the Elite 4. Any time you want to battle him, beat the Elite 4, and then you battle him right afterward.

∙ 13y agoyou fight your rival infinite times, however, if tou don;t count all the indigo plateau times, then i think it's 5-6 times. these are the ones i remember.
